| In the Down's syndrome screening scheme laboratories will determine PAPP-P (pregnancy associated protein) and free beta hCG concentrations from the samples. The Down's syndrome risk assessment is determined based on laboratory results and information on pregnancy (e.g. pregnancy weeks and NT thickness (nuchal translucency thickness)).
